Oh, To See God’s Smile!

Happy Monday to you all! What better way to begin our work week than with a blessing? 🙂

“And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying: ‘Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, “This is the way you shall bless the children of Israel. Say to them:
‘The LORD bless you and keep you;
The LORD make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you;
The LORD lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.’ ”
So they shall put My name on the children of Israel, and I will bless them.’ ” ~ Numbers 6:22-27

I love this blessing! The LORD bless and keep you, as you enter into His presence, where there is abundant, scandalous grace. The LORD smile upon you and give you peace.

God instructed Moses that when the priests blessed the children of Israel using those words, they were putting His name on them, and God Himself would bless His people.

Why not pray this for your children, your spouse, your friends and family, your own self? It is more than a beautiful sentiment. It is a promise for God’s children, and if you have accepted Him, by His grace through faith in Jesus, you are His child!

Oh LORD, please bless and keep us. As we enter into Your presence, we thank You for Your grace – Your unearned, undeserved love and mercy and forgiveness and kindness. Be pleased and glorified in us today – may we see You smile! We ask for Your peace in this world of unrest and uncertainty. Thank You that we bear Your name and that You have promised to bless us! We lift up our day, our week, our very lives to You today. Thank You for blessing and keeping us. In Jesus’ name we pray,
