How Blessed!

“How blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered! How blessed is the man to whom the LORD does not impute iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit!” ~ Psalm 32:1-2

Oh how happy is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered! Praise be to God, we can be oh so happy, because our sins are forgiven, washed away by the blood of Jesus!

Oh how happy is the man to whom the LORD does not impute iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit! Praise be to God, we can be oh so happy, because when we accept by faith the gift Jesus gave by dying for our sins upon that cross, God no longer demands payment from us for our sins! We are no longer filled with deceit and wickedness, but instead we are clothed in the righteousness of Jesus and filled with the Spirit of our Lord and Saviour! Oh how happy!

Have you accepted the free gift Jesus has offered to everyone? It is waiting, like a birthday or Christmas gift, for you. It has been bought by Jesus’ death: the wages of sin- death- are paid in full; and the gift of God- eternal life through Jesus- is ready to be opened and received (Romans 6:23). But it is up to you to acknowledge you need it, accept it by faith, open it, and embrace the grace it contains ~ unearned, undeserved mercy, love and forgiveness ~ and everlasting life!

And then join with me, and with the psalmist King David, and let’s recognize how blessed we are indeed. Oh happy day, my sins are washed away! I am free from death and heaven-bound! Oh how very happy! šŸ™‚

“Be glad in the LORD and rejoice you righteous ones, and shout for joy all you who are upright in heart.” ~ Psalm 32:11
