Let the Nations Know That They Are But Men

“I will give thanks to the LORD with all my heart; I will tell of all Thy wonders. I will be glad and exult in Thee; I will sing praise to Thy name, O Most High.” ~ Psalm 9:1-2

Oh how happy we are when we are thanking and praising God with our whole hearts! We find He is our source of joy and peace, love, mercy and grace, when we belong to Him.

But God is also a just and righteous God. Woe unto us if we do not belong to Him.

“But the LORD abides forever; He has established His throne for judgment, and He will judge the world in righteousness; He will execute judgment for the peoples with equity…Arise, O LORD, do not let man prevail; let the nations be judged before Thee. Put them in fear, O LORD; let the nations know that they are but men.” ~ Psalm 9:7-8, 19-20

I am so thankful that Jesus redeemed me with His death on the cross! He redeemed all of us; we need only acknowledge our need for redemption and accept His gift.

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” ~ Romans 3:23 (KJV)

All have sinned. None can stand before our glorious, righteous God. But through Jesus, our sins are paid in full. We simply need to accept that payment on our behalf. We can then stand in the presence of the Most High, clean and clothed in the righteousness of Jesus, justified by Him and Him alone. Nothing we do could ever save us, only Jesus.

No longer do I face the judgment and wrath of God that must be poured out upon sin. I instead choose His grace through Jesus ~ unearned, undeserved forgiveness, mercy and love.

What have you chosen? Because if you haven’t chosen Jesus, you choose judgment and eternal separation from God. Death.

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” ~ Romans 6:23 (KJV)

Choose Jesus! And then join me in thanksgiving and praise before the Most High God!

*NOTE: Today is election day in the United States of America. Please join with me in praying for God’s forgiveness, mercy, and guidance upon this country. May hearts turn back to God, and may His Will be done in and through this election.

“Let the nations know that they are but men.” ~ Psalm 9:20
