Pursue Justice

“‘Justice, and only justice, you shall pursue, that you may live and possess the land which the LORD your God is giving you.'” ~ Deuteronomy 16:20 (NASB)

“That’s not fair!” “Why me?!?” “I’m telling on you!!”

Our souls naturally long for justice. True, pure justice. Only God can give us this, since our sin nature causes us to mess it up, time after time. But it is something we are to pursue, and seek after, and by the power of the Holy Spirit, hopefully live by.

“‘You shall not distort justice; you shall not be partial, and you shall not take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and perverts the words of the righteous.'” ~ Deuteronomy 16:19

God knows what He is doing! His plan for us is always best. We should always be just and honest in our dealings with one another.

“He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” ~ Micah 6:8 (NASB)
